ONE Championship lightweight king Christian Lee has said a title shot is there for Eddie Alvarez’s taking with a win over Iuri Lapicus.
But “The Warrior” doesn’t think his legacy rides on facing the former UFC champ, after finishing Timofey Nastyukhin – the Russian knockout artist who finished Alvarez on the American’s promotional debut – in just 73 seconds at ONE on TNT 2.
“I don’t feel like I need to fight Eddie,” Lee said in a post-fight interview. “I’m very happy with where I’m at with my position in ONE Championship right now.

“The guy I just knocked out in one round knocked out Eddie in one round. So if the fight never happens we know how that would’ve went down.
“But I do feel Eddie and I will line up in the near future. Really, all he’s gotta do is get past Iuri [Lapicus] in impressive fashion and the title shot is basically his.
