Chris Weidman’s wife has thanked fans for their support after her husband underwent successful surgery on Sunday morning following his horror leg break at UFC 261.

The former middleweight champion snapped his leg after throwing a low kick – the first strike of the fight – that was checked by Uriah Hall, with the fight ending in 17 seconds in Jacksonville, Florida.

“Well, that was horrible,” Marivi Weidman wrote in an Instagram post, alongside a picture of her husband giving a thumbs up from his hospital bed.
