Former UFC strawweight champion Zhang Weili has returned to training and is talking up a rematch with Rose Namajunas.

The Chinese fighter lost her title to the Lithuanian-American at UFC 261 in Florida in April, with Namajunas winning by virtue of a first-round head kick TKO.
Zhang was upset that the fight was stopped after just 78 seconds and called for a rematch in the immediate aftermath of their meeting at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

Now “Magnum” is back in training and indicated that she is preparing for a rematch with “Thug” Rose.

“After a period of rest. Start training for my next fight,” the 32-year-old wrote on Instagram, captioning a video of her working out with a partner on the mats.

“Champion Rose is very strong. She is a real ace. I need to work harder and believe that our second fight will be a very good fight. Playing against the best is something I’ve always enjoyed doing. That’s what friends want to see, too.”
