Kanako Murata has vowed to return stronger after posting gruesome X-rays of the arm injury that forced a doctor stoppage in her strawweight fight against Virna Jandiroba at UFC Vegas 29.

The 27-year-old Japanese fighter (12-2) fell to 1-1 in the Octagon after Brazilian Jandiroba seemingly broke or dislocated her arm with an arm bar submission attempt in the first round.

Murata carried on through the second round but was left crying in her coach’s arms after the cageside medic at the UFC Apex facility official deemed she could not continue.

“Thank you for your generous support @ufc I will be stronger and come back,” Murata wrote, via translation, in an Instagram post alongside the images.

No official diagnosis has been confirmed, but the images appear to show a clear break of Murata’s left arm, which she became unable to lift up to protect her face during the fight.
