ONE Championship: Alain Ngalani’s fight with Thomas Narmo ends in no contest after four groin shots, two yellow cards
- Hong Kong’s ‘Panther’ says he’s ‘disappointed’ after ONE: Battleground II heavyweight contest ends prematurely
- Narmo receives yellow in first round for third kick to groin, before Ngalani is sanctioned in second round with ‘The Last Viking’ unable to continue

Alain Ngalani’s return to ONE Championship action against Thomas Narmo ended in farce – and a no contest – after a series of shots to the groin by both fighters.
“The Last Viking” was shown a yellow card in the first round of their heavyweight contest at ONE: Battleground II in Singapore – which was pre-recorded on July 30 and broadcast on Friday night.
The punishment was given out after a third kick below the belt from Narmo, and a second lengthy time out for Hong Kong’s “Panther”, who had been well on top.
But Ngalani was then also given a yellow card by referee Olivier Coste in the second round, after delivering a soccer kick to Narmo’s groin while the 27-year-old Norwegian was on the ground.

The undefeated Narmo was unable to continue, and given the fight had not passed the halfway mark of the three-round contest, no winner could be declared under Asian promotion ONE’s ruleset.
