It seems no one in the world of MMA is giving Denice Zamboanga a hope in hell of upsetting veteran Ham Seo-hee in the quarter-finals of ONE Championship’s atomweight grand prix.

But that’s fine for the undefeated Filipino (8-0), who is feeding off the motivation of proving everybody wrong – including atomweight champion Angela Lee – at Friday night’s all-female Empower card in Singapore.

“She saw it right,” said former UFC and Rizin star Ham (23-8), who gave a thumbs up when told of “Unstoppable” Lee’s prediction at Tuesday’s virtual media day face-off interviews.

Zamboanga saw it differently. “Who said that? Angela who? For me it doesn’t matter because she’s not on the card. She needs to be chill and see what happens,” the 24-year-old said, smiling.

“She [Lee] can’t say, because we’re the ones who are training. I think she needs to relax and watch what we’re gonna show on September 3. The champ needs to stay calm and she’s gonna see, I’m gonna prove her wrong.”
