Ham Seo-hee is out of ONE Championship’s atomweight grand prix after suffering an injury in training, per sources, with the Asian martial arts promotion confirming the news to the Post.

The South Korean veteran (24-8) beat Filipino “Lycan Queen” Denice Zamboanga (8-1) in the tournament quarter-finals on her promotional debut via a controversial split decision this month in Singapore, a result which was upheld after a formal review.

Former Rizin and Road FC champion Ham will be replaced in her semi-final match-up against Stamp Fairtex (6-1) by Julie Mezabarba (9-2-1) on October 29’s ONE: NextGen card on October 29.

The Brazilian newcomer won her alternate bout against former title challenger Mei Yamaguchi (21-13-1) of Japan on the undercard of September 3’s all-female ONE: Empower event.

Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong had announced Mezabarba would face Zamboanga in another alternate bout, likely on the same October 29 event, but that plan has now been scrapped.
