Jake Paul does not seem to have much interest in a fight with surging UFC welterweight contender Khamzat Chimaev.

Paul, 24, has spent the last few years parlaying a hugely successful career as a YouTube content creator into a career in professional boxing. Now 4-0 in “the sweet science,” the American YouTuber has become one of the most sought-after opponents in all of combat sports.

One of his latest suitors was the 27-year-old Chechen-born Swede Chimaev (10-0), who is arguably the hottest prospect in MMA today. Chimaev called Paul out on Twitter, claiming he could “smash” the YouTuber and his brother Logan, also now a boxer, in the same night.

Paul, for his part, did not seem concerned about the challenge, and encouraged Chimaev to focus on getting paid fairly.

“Listen Kumquat,” Paul wrote in response to Chimaev‘s remark. “You are just another UFC fighter pretending you can box. Sit down, shut up and pray you get paid fairly.”

Paul has become an outspoken critic of the way professional mixed martial artists are paid – specifically those in the UFC.
