Jamahal Hill barely broke a sweat in his UFC Vegas 44 showdown with Australia’s Jimmy Crute on Saturday night.

The two light heavyweights collided on the event’s main card. Crute entered the Octagon as a slight underdog, but evidently did not get the memo.

Less than 30 seconds into the first round, the 3o-year-old American sent his foe careering to the canvas with a looping right hook. Crute, 25, managed to return to his feet, and looked like he had recovered from the knockdown, but was then floored by another right hook.

The second time around, Hill followed up with a devastating ground strike, forcing the referee to dive in and end the fight. The stop came just 48 seconds into the fight.

In his post-fight interview with commentator Daniel Cormier, Hill (9-1) expressed some frustration that several members of the UFC broadcast team picked Crute (12-3) to win their fight.
