Jhanlo Mark Sangiao lived up to his family name in his first fight under the ONE Championship banner.

The 19-year-old Filipino bantamweight is the son of Mark Sangiao, the head coach at the famed Team Lakay gym in Baguio City, Philippines, which has produced multiple ONE title-holders.

After winning his first three bouts on the regional scene, the 19-year-old made his ONE debut opposite Indonesia’s Paul Lumihi on the stacked Winter Warriors II card, which was recorded in Singapore earlier this month and aired on Friday evening.

Despite being the less experienced man in the cage, Sangiao (4-0) was the picture of dominance against Lumihi (7-6), quickly completing a takedown and drifting into position to lock up a fight-ending rear-naked choke before the first round was over.

Team Lakay is known for producing devastating Wushu strikers, but Sangiao showed the gym’s fighters are full capable on the ground, too.
