Vitaly Bigdash called for a long-awaited trilogy fight with Aung La N Sang after a clinical victory via guillotine over China’s Fan Rong.
Former middleweight champ Bigdash (11-2) submitted Fan in the third round of their bout on ONE Championship’s Winter Warriors II broadcast, which was taped earlier in December and aired on Friday.
“I have only one opponent in mind, that’s Aung La,” Bigdash said in his post-fight interview in the ONE Circle, via translator.”
“I’m waiting for you. Come over,” he added.

“The Burmese Python” N Sang (27-12) took the ONE middleweight title from Bigdash via unanimous decision in Yangon, Myanmar in June 2017, after the Russian had bested him in their first encounter.
The two were lined up for the trilogy in 2020 before the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, and N Sang eventually lost his belt to Reinier de Ridder when ONE resumed live events.

Bigdash and N Sang were matched up again in April 2021, this time for the Myanmar fighter’s light heavyweight title. But Bigdash was scratched from the fight at late notice, with De Ridder flying in to Singapore and snatching N Sang’s other belt.
It could be third time lucky, however. With Yushin Okami now tied up and set to fight Leandro Ataides at ONE: Heavy Hitters on January 14 – the promotion’s first card of 2022 – N Sang now looks to have no other viable opponent.

N Sang knocked out Brazilian Ataides in spectacular fashion in July to arrest a two-fight skid, after back-to-back losses to De Ridder in title fights.
For Bigdash, it was a first appearance in the ONE Circle in more than three years, but he certainly didn’t look rusty, dominating Fan for the first two rounds before ending it after just 44 seconds of the third.
