ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong aims for events ‘all over the world’ in 2022, including US debut, after Singapore stay during pandemic
- Asian martial arts promotion set to get back on the road, with new US broadcast deal to be announced in coming weeks
- ‘All I can tell you is this: 2022 will be the biggest year in the history of ONE,’ Chatri says

ONE Championship will get back on the road in 2022.
The martial arts organisation has promoted events all over Asia in the past, but has been limited to events in its home city of Singapore for most of the pandemic.
Speaking on a media conference call after last Friday’s ONE: Heavy Hitters card, the organisation’s CEO Chatri Sityodtong expressed optimism it will be able to resume international events soon – and hopefully, debut on US soil before the year is out.
“We’re looking all over the world again,” Chatri said. “Right now, we do have plans to throw an event in the US
“Our team is looking not only all across Asia, but all over the world for our events schedule. We look forward to making some announcements regarding our full-year 2022 calendar.”
ONE is currently in the midst of negotiating a new US broadcast deal, after signing with the Turner network in December 2018. It remains to be seen where the promotion will air on American screens, but Chatri expects to make an announcement in the coming weeks.

“I can tell you that we’re in the final stages of negotiations with three broadcasters and we should be making an announcement,” he said. “I don’t know if it will be the next few weeks, next several weeks, but we’re imminent.”
