- ‘The Monkey God’ calls calls out Filipino strawweight champion following unanimous decision win on Friday night in Singapore
- ‘You better be ready. I’ll bend you over my knee, just like I did with Minowa. Nobody’s gonna beat me in this division,’ Brooks says

Jarred Brooks called out ONE Championship strawweight king Joshua Pacio after a dominant unanimous decision win at Friday night’s Only The Brave card in Singapore.
“The Monkey God” (18-2) was in control from wire to wire, setting up some beautiful takedowns with some crisp striking, and hunting for the finish for the whole 15 minutes.
The 28-year-old American is in a prime position to challenge “The Passion” for the belt, with No 2 Yosuke Saruta having lost twice to the Filipino, and No 1 Bokang Masunyane’s status unknown.
“Daddy’s home, Joshua Pacio,” No 3-ranked Brooks screamed into the mic in his post-fight interview with commentator Mitch Chilson at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
“You better be ready. I’ll bend you right over my knee, just like I did with Minowa. Nobody’s gonna beat me in this division – not Bokang, not you. I’m coming for this whole division, flyweight too, baby.”
