UFC legend Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson ‘gunning for Kubrat Pulev’ after planned May fight with Shannon Briggs
- Former UFC light heavyweight champ Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson claims Triller Fight Club is targeting a May fight with boxer Shannon Briggs
- ‘I just want put my fist in my fist in his mouth,’ former UFC champ says. ‘Then one more warm-up fight and I’d be happy to fight [Kubrat] Pulev.’

MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has his eyes on Triller fights with boxing stars Shannon Briggs and Kubrat Pulev.
The former UFC light heavyweight champion, 43, has not fought since a first-round knockout loss to Fedor Emelianenko under the Bellator banner in December 2019. It remains to be seen whether he’ll compete in MMA again, but his fighting days do not seem to be over yet.
“I still love fighting,” he told the Post last week. “And before I retire, I want to do a boxing match.”
This is not the first time Jackson has expressed interest in stepping into the ring. The American has a long-standing and trash-talk riddled rivalry with 50-year-old former boxing heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs, who has not fought since a 2016 knockout win over Emilio Zarate.
Jackson (38-14 MMA) and Briggs (60-6 boxing) both recently partnered with Triller Fight Club’s Triad Combat series, which pits mixed martial artists and boxers against each other in an amalgam of the two sports. Jackson serves as a mentor for the MMA fighters venturing into the promotion’s triangle-shaped ring, while Briggs is serving as team captain for the boxing side.
Jackson is hoping to meet his rival under the Triller banner, and claims the fight is being discussed for this coming May.
“Triller has agreed to have Shannon and I fight in May if Shannon can pass a physical – cause he’s old as hell,” Jackson said.
