Vitaly Bigdash scored a big win over Aung La N Sang in their catchweight trilogy bout, getting a unanimous decision and warning De Ridder “I’ll break your face”. In the co-main event, Roman Kryklia defended his light heavyweight kickboxing title with a first-round KO of Murat Aygun. Sundell stops Martin The 18-year-old Swedish prodigy Smilla Sundell stopped Diandra Martin in the third round of their catchweight Muay Thai fight. Sundell dropped the Australian once in the first round, twice in the second and then three times in the third to get the victory. Utter dominance from “The Hurricane”. Zainalov takes split decision Daniyal Zainalov took a split decision victory against Yuri Simoes, after a three-round war. The Russian defened a lot and delivered some solid ground and pound, especially in the final round, where he fended off the Brazilian jiu jitsu expert’s submission attempts. Puertas scrapes by Yibu in kick-boxing action Chinese kick-boxer Jiduo Yibu made his ONE Championship debut on the ONE: Full Circle lead card, taking on experienced Spaniard Daniel Puertas at flyweight. Both men had plenty of success in the bout, chopping away at each other’s legs with kicks, and making some nice lands with punches. By the time the third round was over, commentators Michael Schiavello and Mitch Chilson were in agreement that it was a razor close contest, taking care to note that under the ONE rule set, kick-boxing bouts cannot end with a draw. In the end, Puertas was named the winner by split decision, spoiling his Chinese foe’s debut. “It’s a good call I feel by the judges,” Schiavello said after the decision was announced. “Yibu’s stream rolling ways come to an end tonight and Daniel Puertas – very impressive.” Puertas did not partake in a post-fight interview in the Circle. Zamboanga kick things off in style Drex Zamboanga, the brother of women’s atomweight contender Denice Zamboanga, perhaps stepped out of his famous sister’s shadow there with a 65-second knockout of veteran Rahul Raju. “T-Rex”” landed a right and left to the body, then an uppercut, sending Raju faceplanting down to the canvas. Zamboanga celebrated with some breakdancing after a successful jump up from flyweight to lightweight, where he chopped down the tallest fighter in the division. “I’m really excited for this fight because I’ve been preparing for almost two years from flyweight to lightweight,” he said. “It’s not very easy because you need to train your speed, train your conditioning. “You need to be heavy. That’s one of the reasons I moved to lightweight, because I want to have heavy hands, heavy strikes. “I can stay in lightweight or in any division. I’m very confident to move up in any kind of division.”
