Fabricio Andrade followed his knockout win over Jeremy Pacatiw with a warning sent to ONE Championship bantamweight king Bibiano Fernandes and top contender John Lineker. “They can’t hide,” he said after the victory. “I’m coming.” Andrade took on Pacatiw of the Philippines in the opening bout of the ONE: Full Circle event on Friday evening in Singapore. He needed just one minute and 37 seconds to get the job done with a knee to the midsection. In victory, the 24-year-old Brazilian is now unbeaten in four ONE Championship bouts, and one of the front runners for a shot at the promotion’s bantamweight title, which will next be up for grabs when Fernandes defends against Lineker at ONE: Lights Out on March 11. Andrade expects Lineker to win that fight by knockout, and relishes the opportunity to fight his fellow Brazilian, who is known for his aggression and power. “He’s got strong hands,” he said. “That’s why the fight is going to be entertaining. People think he can knock out anybody. I’m a striker. I want to see if he can knock me out. I believe I can knock him out.” WOW 😨 Fabricio Andrade 🇧🇷 SHUTS DOWN Jeremy Pacatiw with a pinpoint knee to the liver! @fabriciowdb #ONEFullCircle #WeAreONE #ONEChampionship Watch Now 👉 https://t.co/WDUDJAx0nU | Watch in 🇺🇸 on 👉 https://t.co/3F0ImkkhFC / https://t.co/ulhTwyJtQc pic.twitter.com/aVbMXGXVXX — ONE Championship (@ONEChampionship) February 25, 2022 But do not expect the upstart Andrade to wait around for a title shot. “Wonder Boy” hopes to fight again soon, and is willing to take on anybody brave enough to accept the challenge. “I don’t want to call anybody out any more,” he said. “Those guys are scared of me. I don’t need to keep calling everyone out. Everybody knows I’m the new king. I’m smashing people. I have four wins now, [I’m] finishing everyone. They’re scared. I’m not. I can fight anybody.” ONE: Aung La apologises for ‘letting down’ Burmese fans “I’m the new contender. I’m the guy to fight for the title, and I’ll be ready for that if ONE Championship wants to make that happen. If not, I’ll be ready to take out another guy.” Since joining ONE, Andrade (7-2) has beaten Mark Abelardo, Shoko Sato, Li Kai Wen, and Pacatiw. Only Japan’s Sato, a 47-fight veteran, survived to the final bell with the Brazilian. His vanquished opponent Pacatiw (11-5), meanwhile, is back in the loss column after a win over Chen Rui in his ONE Championship debut.
