Smilla Sundell and Jackie Buntan left it all out there in the cage during Friday night’s ONE Championship 156 co-main event in Singapore.
And although the 17-year-old Swede walked away as the Asian martial arts promotion’s inaugural strawweight Muay Thai champ, she knows she has not seen the last of the Filipino-American.
“Thank you for sharing the Circle with me,” Sundell wrote in an Instagram post on Saturday, alongside a picture of the two at the fighters’ hotel. “See you around!”

“A big congrats to you Smilla! Until we meet again,” replied Buntan, who was wearing sunglasses in their photo to cover the badly swollen left eye Sundell left her with.
“Yeah we were trying to take each other’s heads off for 15 mins but it’s all respect afterwards,” Buntan added on her Instagram story, sharing Sundell’s original post.
