ONE Championship: Angela Lee and Xiong Jingnan to settle trilogy in main event of Prime Video 2 card
- Lee and Xiong, ONE’s atomweight and strawweight champions, will put an end to their rivalry on September 30, with the latter’s belt on the line
- Muay Thai title fight between Petchmorakot Petchyindee and Tawanchai PK. Saenchai also revealed for ONE 161 card the night before
Angela Lee and Xiong Jingnan will put an end to their thrilling rivalry in the main event of ONE Championship’s second event on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service – with the latter’s strawweight title on the line.
The martial arts promotion revealed the headliner for the card, which is set for September 30 in Singapore, on Tuesday. The event will occur in the morning so that it airs in the evening in the United States.
The Canadian-American Lee (11-2) and China’s Xiong (17-2) have met twice before.

Their first fight occurred in March of 2019 when the 26-year-old Lee, ONE’s long-reigning atomweight champion, hiked up to strawweight to challenge Xiong in a bid to become a two-division champion. But the 34-year-old Chinese star dashed the atomweight champ’s dreams with a fifth-round TKO.
The pair then met for a second time in October of the same year, this time with Lee’s atomweight title on the line. That night, Lee evened the score by submitting Xiong in round five.
Both fights were competitive until the moment they ended.
ONE: Angela Lee says ‘fight camp has officially begun’
In the time since their second fight, Lee has fought just once – having recently given birth to her first child – defeating Stamp Fairtex by submission at ONE X in March of this year.
Xiong, meanwhile, rebounded from her loss to Lee with a trio of strawweight title defences over Tiffany Teo, Michelle Nicolini, and Ayaka Miura – all decisions.
The Lee vs Xiong bout is not the only new fight ONE has announced. Over the weekend, the promotion revealed Petchmorakot Petchyindee will defend his featherweight Muay Thai title against Tawanchai PK. Saenchai in the co-headlining attraction of the ONE Championship 161 event, slated for September 29 in Singapore – the night before the event on Prime Video.

The 28-year-old Petchmorakot won the ONE featherweight Muay Thai title in February of 2020, when he defeated Pongsiri P.K. Saenchaimuaythaigym by decision.
He has since defended the belt three times, with a decision win over Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex, a stoppage of Magnus Andersson, and most recently, a competitive decision win over Jimmy Vienot.
His fellow Thai Tawanchai, meanwhile, is considered one of the top fighters in all of Muay Thai, and locked up his title shot by winning three of his first four fights in ONE.

The 23-year-old debuted in the organisation with a knockout win over Sean Clancy. After losing a split decision to Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, he then rebounded with a pair of stoppages over Saemapetch Fairtex and Niclas Larsen.
ONE 161 will be headlined by a heavyweight MMA title fight between undisputed champ Arjan Bhullar of Canada and Anatoly Malykhin of Russia, who holds the promotion’s interim belt.
At this time, ONE has not revealed any other matchups for the card.
