ONE Championship 163 weight and hydration test results: Itsuki Hirata fails check, Ham Seo-hee initially refuses fight
- Aung La N Sang and Yuya Wakamatsu also fail to pass their hydration tests by Friday’s 4pm deadline, with fights left hanging in the balance
- Trio can attempt to negotiate catchweights with their opponents once they pass, but Ham initially insists she will not accept offer

Aung La N Sang, Itsuki Hirata and Yuya Wakamatsu all failed to pass hydration tests by Friday’s 4pm deadline, with their ONE Championship 163 fights left hanging in the balance.
The trio, who were set to fight on Saturday night’s card at Singapore Indoor Stadium, can attempt to negotiate catchweights with their opponents once they pass.
They must give up a percentage of their fight purse to their opponents, too. But Ham Seo-hee initially refused to accept a catchweight with Hirata, who was well wide of the mark needed to pass hydration on the multiple attempts she made.
South Korean veteran Ham, a former champion in Rizin and Road FC, still faced off with the Japanese prospect during Friday night’s ceremonial weigh-ins. But it is still unclear if the fight will go ahead.
Former middleweight and light heavyweight MMA champion N Sang also faced off with his scheduled opponent, Yushin Okami, but had to return to the fighters’ hotel from the stadium on Friday night to attempt to pass hydration after two fails.
There is a heavy Japanese presence on the card, which is set to be streamed on pay-per-view on the Abema network in the country. But another rising Japanese star in Wakamatsu also faces a battle to keep his fight with Woo Sung-hoon from being scratched.
The card will, at least, still be headlined by a bantamweight kickboxing title fight, as Japanese champion Hiroki Akimoto and Thai challenger Petchtanong Petchfergus both made weight.
In the co-main event, Ukraine’s Roman Kryklia will meet Iran’s Iraj Azizpour in the final of the ONE heavyweight kickboxing grand prix.
Here is how everything unfolded at Friday’s dramatic weight and hydration tests.
