ONE Championship has revealed the complete line-up for its first event in the famed Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Headlining honours for the January 20 event will go to a Muay Thai title fight, as dominant champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao of Thailand attempts to defend his belt against Russia’s Alaverdi Ramazanov, the former kickboxing champ at bantamweight.

In the co-main event, former strawweight champion Prajanchai PK. Saenchai will take on a fellow Thai in Kompetch Sitsarawatsuer, who will be making his ONE debut.

The remainder of the 12-fight card will be composed mostly of Muay Thai bouts, including appearances from bantamweight contender Muangthai PK. Saenchai and highly regarded newcomer Seksan Or Kwanmuang. However, there are two MMA fights on the bill.

Here is the full line-up for the first ONE Lumpinee event:

Thailand’s Nong O-Gaiyanghadao lands a leg kick on Liam Harrison at ONE on Prime Video 1 in August.

Nong-O, 36, is ONE’s inaugural bantamweight Muay Thai champion, and has defended his belt six times since he won it with a decision defeat of China’s Han Zihao in 2019.

In his latest defence, he chopped down highly-regarded Briton Liam Harrison with leg kicks inside one round. The Thai is considered one of the greatest fighters competing in the sport today.

His opponent Ramazanov, 28, is no slouch either, having earned his title shot with a split decision defeat of former champ Capitan Petchyindee, and a knockout of Pongsiri PK. Saenchai. Those victories separated him from a knockout loss to Capitan under kickboxing rules, which ended his title reign in that sport.

Prajanchai PK. Saenchai celebrates with the ONE strawweight Muay Thai belt.
Prajanchai, the former strawweight champ, has not been in action since he lost his belt with a stoppage defeat to Joseph Lasiri last May – widely considered the biggest upset in ONE in 2022.

His opponent Kompetch has yet to fight in ONE, but has plenty of experience in the hallowed Lumpinee Stadium, having won titles under its roof in 2018 and 2019.

Lumpinee is the most famous arena in Muay Thai, rivalled only by the older Rajadamnern Stadium, having hosted a long list of historic matchups involving many of the sport’s greatest fighters.

ONE entered into a partnership with the stadium in late 2022, which will commence on January 20 and continue with 51 more weekly events over the course of the year.

The events will air locally on Channel 7 HD, the country’s largest free-to-air television network.

The week before its Lumpinee debut, on January 14, ONE will promote its sixth event on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service out of Bangkok’s larger Impact Arena.

That event, which will be topped by a featherweight kickboxing title fight between Thai champion Superbon Singha Mawynn and Belarusian challenger Chingiz Allazov, will cater to ONE’s growing US audience, but will kick-off what looks like a busy year for the promotion in Thailand.
