ONE Championship has revealed the finalised line-up for the coming ONE Fight Night 7 card, set for February 25 in Bangkok, Thailand. The card, which will now emanate from the famed Lumpinee Stadium, will be topped by a bantamweight MMA title fight between Brazilians John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade. It was originally set to take place on February 11 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The co-main event will see featherweight Muay Thai champion Tawanchai PK. Saenchai attempt to defend his title on home soil, taking on Russia’s Jamal Yusupov. While those fights were revealed some time ago, the rest of the line-up was a mystery until ONE confirmed the matchups on Sunday night, following an initial report from. MMA Fighting. Chief among the newly revealed matchups is a featherweight MMA clash between Martin Nguyen, the division’s former champion, and rising contender Shamil Gasanov. American submission grappling star Danielle Kelly is also set to return to action on the card. She will take on Japan’s Ayaka Miura, an MMA veteran with a speciality in judo, at a 119-pound catchweight. Flyweight MMA contenders Danny Kingad and Eko Roni Saputra are set to return to action earlier on the card, while the line-up will also feature two kickboxing bouts, as Andre Stoica takes on Francesco Xhaja at light heavyweight, and Zhang Chenglong battles Saemapetch Fairtex at bantamweight. The two Brazilians, 25 and 32 respectively, first collided at ONE on Prime Video 3 in October, in a fight that was steeped in chaos from beginning to end. Lineker (35-9) began fight week as the bantamweight champion, but was stripped of the belt after he failed to make weight, meaning only Andrade (8-2) could win the title in victory. But the fight itself then ended in a no contest after Andrade landed an illegal low blow, so the title remained vacant after the Circle door closed. Lineker won the belt with a knockout of Bibiano Fernandes early last year, while Andrade earned his title shot with wins in his first five ONE bouts, including an impressive stoppage of Kwon Won-il. Thailand’s Tawanchai will be looking for his first title defence in the ONE Fight Night 7 co-main event. The 23-year-old won the belt with a close decision defeat of Petchmorakot Petchyindee last summer. His Russian challenger Yusupov, 37, has gone 3-0 since joining ONE. The former featherweight champ Nguyen (14-6) will enter the Circle with a tough 1-4 record in his last four bouts, having sandwiched a stoppage win over Kirill Gorobets between knockout losses to Ilya Freymanov, Kim Jae-woong, and Thanh Le – the latter of which ended his title reign. The 33-year-old also briefly reigned as ONE’s lightweight MMA champion. His 29-year-old foe Gasanov (13-0) will look to build on the momentum of a quick submission win over Kim in his ONE debut.
