Superbon Singha Mawynn has apologised to his legion of Thai fans after losing his ONE Championship featherweight kickboxing title on home soil in brutal fashion.
The 32-year-old suffered a second-round TKO on Saturday, after three knock-downs in quick succession left him flat on his back at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

“I’m sorry to disappoint the Thai people and all my supporters with yesterday’s fight,” he wrote in a Facebook post on Sunday morning.
“I’m very grateful for all the encouragement from everyone. I’ll fix my mistakes and come back stronger.”

It was his first fight in his home country since a trilogy win over fellow promotional newcomer Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong at the same venue in July 2020, when it was closed off to fans amid the pandemic.
