ONE Championship: Haggerty to battle Lobo for bantamweight belt, promotion announces fights for Bangkok, Tokyo
- Jonathan Haggerty and Felipe Lobo will face off at ONE Fight Night 19 on February 17th
- In Japan, heavyweights Rade Opacic and Iraj Azizpour will clash in a bout that has all the makings of a title eliminator
ONE Championship has announced multiple matchups for upcoming fight cards in Tokyo and Bangkok.
Among them is a bantamweight Muay Thai title bout, with Jonathan Haggerty defending his belt against Felipe Lobo as the headline clash at ONE Fight Night 19 next month.
The Prime Video event will take place at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium on February 17th.
Before that ONE 165 is set for Tokyo on January 28th, and Marat Grigorian and Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong will face off in a catchweight kickboxing contest in what will be a sixth fight between the pair.
Another kickboxing bout added to this event pits two heavyweights together. Rade Opacic has been matched with Iraj Azizpour in a bout that has all the makings of a title eliminator.
The final fight announced for ONE 165 will feature three different rulesets. Kickboxer Nieky Holzken faces Yoshihiro Akiyama in a bout featuring boxing, kickboxing and MMA.
