ONE Championship returned to Bangkok, Thailand’s world famous Lumpinee Stadium on Friday night, and headliner Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon was one of three bonus winners for the 12-fight card.

Rambolek, 19, took on his countryman Theeradet Chor Hapayak in the main event, which was contested under Muay Thai rules at a 143-pound catchweight. He won the fight with a two-punch combo in the second round, after softening his foe up with kicks.

“I feel so happy,” he told commentator Mitch Chilson after the fight, which was his first in ONE. “That was part of my plan, to kick his body and punch him to knock him out.”

The Thai’s knockout win was impressive enough to earn him a 350,000 baht (US$10,000) bonus from ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

Earlier in the night, Samingdam Chor Ajalaboon earned a bonus of his own with a second-round knockout of his fellow Thai Rittidet Sor Sommai in a 132-pound catchweight Muay Thai contest.

The 24-year-old was making his ONE debut after dozens of fights on the Thai scene, including a loss to ONE legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao last year.
