Rodtang Jitmuangnon has cashed in on his surging popularity and agreed a new purse with ONE Championship that will make him the highest-paid Muay Thai fighter in the world, by a long stretch.

ONE’s flyweight Muay Thai champ will now earn “10 million baht” per bout, starting with his next fight, chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong told the Post.

It will make the 24-year-old the first fighter from Thailand to earn such a large sum in the Singapore-based martial arts organisation.

“Rodtang will earn US$300,000 per fight,” Chatri told the Post via text message on Thursday. “It’s the highest [pay] in the world for Muay Thai by a huge margin.”
