Martyna Kierczyńska stepped up at short notice last month to beat Nat “Wondergirl” Jaroonsak at ONE Fight Night 19. The reward for the Polish strawweight has been a fast turnaround and another bout this weekend, against Ekaterina Vandaryeva at ONE Fight Night 20.

Things have happened very fast for the 21-year-old. The win against “Wondergirl” was a watershed moment for Kierczyńska, picking up a US$50,000 (HK$390,000) performance bonus and establishing herself as an immediate contender in the division.
