The biggest event in Asian martial arts history is under way at the Ryogoku Kokugikan, the home of sumo, as One Championship makes its debut in Tokyo with a stacked card.
Shinya Aoki challenges Eduard Folayang for the One lightweight title in the main event. But the real show stealer is Angela’s much-anticipated clash with Chinese strawweight champion Xiong Jingnan. The 22-year-old Lee is the queen of Asian MMA but faces the toughest test of her young career against “Panda”.
Former UFC champions Eddie Alvarez and Demetrious Johnson also make their One debuts after their high-profiles switches late last year. Bibiano Fernandes gets a rematch for the bantamweight title against Kevin Belingon of the Philippines, and Myanmar’s Aung La N Sang defends his middleweight title against Ken Hasegawa.
