Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone staked his claim for a lightweight title shot after beating Al Iaquinta over five rounds with a unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 151 in Ottawa.

“I guess I’m doing it for all the old people out there, there’s still a chance,” the 36-year-old told Michael Bisping in his post-fight interview in the Octagon.

“I’m coming, I guess ‘Dad’ Cerrone is 3-0 now, I’m a on new mission – I gotta build this boy a swimming pool,” he added, pointing to his young son.

“I want the title, whatever that means man – unless Conor McGregor, you wanna fight me in July? I’m ready, fourth of July, let’s do it.”

Cerrone dropped Iaquinta with a jab at the end of the third round and with a head kick early in the fourth.
