Formula E is back on the streets of Central Harbourfront and with all the excitement comes the Allianz E-Village in Tamar Park – which is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever.
The fan festival is open from 7am to 6pm with plenty of entertainment for all the family to enjoy, along with the on-track action.
Much of the Lung Wo Road grandstand has been removed for this year’s race, allowing for an expanded E-Village.
The nearby Tamar Park grandstand is sold out while there are a limited number of tickets at the Observation Wheel grandstand still available through Ticketflap. But fear not if you cannot get your hands on one – there will be a giant LCD screen in the E-Village with a live feed showing all of Sunday’s on-track action.
The 45-minute plus race gets under way at 4.03pm, with qualifying starting at 11.45am – and you do not have to miss a second.

In between the racing, fans can get up close with the new Formula E “Gen2” electric car – so have your phones at the ready for those Instagram selfies.
The 22 guys who are actually driving the real thing will also be stopping by for a quick meet-and-greet in an autograph session at 2.25pm.
The three Hong Kong E-Prix podium finishers will be back at 5pm to spray champagne all over each other in their post-race celebrations.

If you fancy yourself as a speed demon you can head to the expanded gaming arena and jump in a Formula E simulator to test your skills on a virtual Central Harbourfront track.
Organisers have bumped up the number of the highly popular simulators from last year’s eight to 20, so you shouldn’t be hanging around too long before you’re leaving competitors trailing in virtual dust.
The gaming arena has also installed iPads for “Ghost Racing”, a new interactive gaming and viewing experience where fans can race live against real Formula E drivers in real races.

Why not check out the new “Formula E World” experience as well – it’s a four-zone exploration area giving you the low-down on everything to do with the electric street racing series.
Hong Kong E-Prix sponsor HKT will also have their latest technologies and gadgets on hand from their various lines of business for visitors to sample and enjoy.
There will also be booths on display from world motorsport governing body FIA and Formula E sponsors ABB, among others, with family friendly fun activities.

For the younger members of the family, the dedicated kids zone will have face painting, iPad caricaturists and a special Formula E obstacle course.
Urban dance crew Seabiscuit will be shaking their stuff in the stage zone at 11.30am, 1pm and 1.40pm. A modern Kung Fu performance combining contemporary dance and various Asian martial arts will also hit the stage at 11.20am, 1.05pm and 1.35pm.
There will be plenty of treats on offer in the taste zone, too, including Pizza Express, UTRON, Zuver x Sichuan Delicacy, Mr Cart, Snowy, XTC Gelato and Candy Corner.

It all sounds like thirsty work and the Heineken booth will be serving up the beer. For those of you conscious about saving the planet (it is Formula E after all) there will be collection points for the reusable plastic cups, which will be returned to the Heineken warehouse for reuse (after a good wash of course).
Speaking of sustainability, free-for-all water pouches will be available for visitors to help reduce plastic use. They can be refilled at the various “Hydration Stations” (we think that’s a fancy term for water fountains) dotted around the E-Village.
So whether you’re looking for some fun and relaxation, or some virtual thrills and spills, make sure you head to Tamar Park early and make a day of it.
