X-rays proved negative but he is expected to be re-examined by team doctors. Bryant shot 11-of-33 from the field against the Hawks and finished with 31 points on the night.

After the game, Bryant blasted Jones, saying that it was one of his signature shots and under normal circumstances he would never injure himself.

"It is a shot I am very comfortable taking," Bryant said. "You can't walk underneath shooters, man. That is a very dangerous play."
