The Asian Games will probably be paddler Tie Yana's last chance to win a medal as her professional table tennis career draws to a close.

At 35, Tie will be taking part in her fourth Games in Incheon, South Korea, having secured one gold and two silver medals in her previous outings.

"Time really flies," said Tie, who will be playing in the team event and the doubles in which will she partner up-and-coming Doo Hoi-kem. "I haven't considered my future yet but it is probably too late for me to play in the Asian Games in 2019, isn't it?"

First winning a mixed doubles gold medal with Cheung Yuk at the 2002 Busan Asian Games, the former mainlander captured two more silvers in the singles and doubles (with Zhang Rui) in Doha four years later.

"It will be a great achievement if I can win another medal in Incheon to finish off my Asian Games résumé, but as we all know, the Asian Games are no easier than the world championships, especially in the women's events. All the world's powerhouses - China, Japan, Singapore, South and North Korea - will be there," she said.

Tie admitted she would not be the key player with fast-improving Lee Ho-ching, Ng Wing-nam and Doo in the team.
