Ex-Clippers owner Donald Sterling sues ex-girlfriend, TMZ over leaked tapes
Billionaire real estate baron files lawsuit claiming that publication of private conversation with V. Stiviano damaged his reputation on an 'unprecedented scale'

Donald Sterling, the former owner of the National Basketball Association's Los Angeles Clippers, has filed a lawsuit against celebrity news website TMZ and his former girlfriend, V. Stiviano, according to a TMZ report.
The suit is the latest salvo in a legal soap opera that began in April 2014 after the recording caused a firestorm of criticism when the real estate baron was heard whining to Stiviano that she should not associate with black people.

The remarks led the NBA to ban him from the league and ultimately led Sterling's estranged wife to sell the team owned by a family trust to former Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer for a record US$2 billion.
Shelly Sterling won court approval for the sale by showing her husband of six decades had dementia and could not handle his business affairs.
