UFC has announced former bantamweight champion Holly Holm will face Bethe Correia in the headline fight for its highly anticipated upcoming Singapore card.

The organisation makes its return to Asia on June 17 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and 35-year-old Holm, who became the first fighter to defeat UFC superstar Rhonda Rousey in November 2015, is the big draw of its card.

Holm has lost her last three fights since her victory over Rousey including a defeat to Netherlands’ Germaine de Randamie last time out in February when the two clashed for the inaugural feather weight title.

Her opponent, Brazilian Correia, was beaten by Rousey in a bantamweight title fight in 2015 and has a win, a draw and a loss in her last three outings.

The highlight of Holm’s MMA career so far was when she shot to fame after dethroning the dominant Rousey at UFC 193.

The “kick heard around the world” at UFC 193 was watched by a crowd of over 56,000 and made Holm an instant household name. After winning an impressive 10 straight fights with seven knockout finishes through 2015, Holm will be looking to resurrect her career in Singapore after a recent bad run.
