The 25-year-old Lebanese-American was watching her favourite Washington Capitals when a 170-gram puck flew over the glass and crashed into her chest.
“It caught me off guard and I had no idea it was coming,” Khalifa told the Daily Star on Saturday. “I grabbed my chest and I didn’t want to let go because I felt like if I did let go blood was going to be everywhere.
“My left breast is slightly deflated now and I will be getting it fixed next year.”
Khalifa seemed to see the funny side of things despite having to go under the knife.
The avid ice hockey and lacrosse player posted a photo on Instagram with the caption: “I got hit in the boob with a puck during the game and I’m 80 per cent sure it ruptured an implant. But the good news is, I got a game used puck from a Capitals Stanley Cup play-off game. Worth it.”
“I got to take [the puck] home,” said Khalifa, who previously hosted a sport show with ex-NBA pro Gilbert Arenas and now co-hosts Sportsball with Tyler Coe. “It was the single greatest souvenir any hockey fan can get: a game-used puck that hits you.
In 2014, Khalifa became the most searched-for and ranked number one performer on adult video sharing website Pornhub. The then-22-year-old caused controversy for wearing a hijab in one of her scenes. Khalifa stated to The Washington Post that she left the industry after three months.
