Manny Pacquiao continued to roll back the clock on Saturday night in Las Vegas when he defended his WBA welterweight championship with a comfortable unanimous decision win over Adrien Broner.
The 40-year-old showed no signs of slowing down on his return to fighting in the US after a few bouts fought away from his spiritual home.
But the ‘fighting senator’ completed an impressive return to Nevada after two years increasing calls for a rematch with the watching Floyd Mayweather Jnr.

Broner, 11 years the Filipino’s junior, felt he had done enough to win the fight, but in reality the American wasn’t nearly aggressive enough to win over the judges.
Pacquiao dominated with the jab and dealt Broner some powerful left hands to score a unanimous 116-112, 116-112, 117-111 decision.

The Filipino improved his record to 61-7-2 and displayed a phenomenal work rate to complete his first defence of the welterweight title he claimed with an impressive knockout of Lucas Matthysse in Malaysia back in July last year.
