Hong Kong’s Ng On-yee to face China’s Bai Yulu in final of 2026 WSF Women’s Championship
The winner will also take over the world No 1 ranking, a spot held by Thailand’s Mink Nutcharut since August 2023

Hong Kong’s Ng On-yee has advanced to the final of the 2026 WSF Women’s Championship, where she will face defending world champion Bai Yulu of China on Friday night for the world No 1 spot.
This is the first women’s event of the 2026 WSF Tour, held over five days in Sofia, Bulgaria, with 12 players taking part.
Ng, the three-time women’s world champion, reached the final by defeating two Thai opponents, including the current world No 1, in the women’s knockout stage.
In the group stage, Ng won four out of five matches, with her only loss coming in straight sets against Bai.
The Hongkonger advanced to the quarter-finals as runner-up in the group.
In the knockout stages, Ng beat current world No 1 Nutcharut “Mink” Wongharuthai 3-0, then overcame World Under-21 champion Panchaya Channoi 4-2 in the semi-finals to reach the final.
