Organisers have released more details about what the individual and team athletes can expect on the final day of the 2018 CrossFit Games.
There will be two more individual events in the men’s and women’s competition before the “Fittest on Earth” are crowned.
Defending champions Mathew Fraser and Tia-Clair Toomey are looking good to retain their crowns at the Alliant Energy Centre in Madison, Wisconsin with healthy leads going into Sunday.
The athletes now know that first up for Individual Event 12 will be the Two-Stroke Pull. Athletes must complete five rounds for time of a 300-metre run, 20 calories (15 for women) on an Assault Bike and then a 44-foot (13.4m) sled pull.
The time cap is 18 minutes, and athletes finish when they pull the sled across the line for the fifth time.
Just what is in store for Individual Event 13, nobody knows – but CrossFit Games HQ director Dave Castro is sure to have a surprise up his sleeve.
In the team competition, athletes have one more event left – the Running Bob.
Teams must complete five rounds for time of running 300 metres out of the stadium, before returning to pull a Big Bob hand-over-hand down a section of the field for 50 feet.
Each round, teams will run out of the stadium, then return and pull the Big Bob hand-over-hand down a section of the field. The event is over when Big Bob is pulled across the finish line after the 5th round.— The CrossFit Games (@CrossFitGames) August 4, 2018
