Two weeks deep and there are still new things to look forward to.
But as we say hello to some sports, we say goodbye to others with various gold medals decided.
There’s also a little controversy for good measure with men’s water polo set for 1.35am only 99 per cent certain to include Hungary as Croatia’s opponents.
Italy are still waiting to hear whether their appeal over some of the refereeing decisions in the quarter-final loss to Hungary has been successful. Ring any bells Cheung Ka-long fans?
But, in terms of action, what else do we have to look forward to? Let’s take a look with the usual caveat time are for Hong Kong.

Let it blow
Who wants to be a millionaire?
Well, if Max Maeder does, he could have his wish within the next 24 hours.
With a realistic chance of winning only Singapore’s second-ever gold medal, there is more than just a place on top of the podium on offer.
If Maeder can top Slovenian rival Valentin Bontus in the men’s kite surfing final to win gold, with it comes a cash prize of SG$1 million (HK$5.9m). The action starts at 6.13pm.
Dripping in gold
More gold for China? Probably. Definitely!
Fresh from their women’s synchronised 3 metres springboard golds, Chang Yani and Chen Yiwen will be competing in the singles but only one of them can stand on the top of the podium. You can tune in for this at 9pm.
Meanwhile, China’s attempt at another table tennis clean sweep moves onto round three of five with the men’s team facing Sweden in the gold medal match. Also at 9pm.
So far, they have won both the men’s and women’s singles as well as the mixed doubles.

Allez les Bleus
Hosts France are looking for their first Olympic title in men’s football since 1984 – the same year they won the European Championship.
Well, guess who won the Euros in 2024? That’s right, Spain. And guess who France’s opponents are in the gold medal match?
You guessed it … or probably already knew. It’s a repeat of the Euro 2024 semi-final which La Roja won en route to victory.
Spain, silver medallists in Tokyo, have not won gold since their success in 1992 as hosts.
Only six nations have won the men’s football gold on more than one occasion. There will be a seventh, but who? Tune in to find out at midnight.

Welcome to the family
Breaking will officially be an Olympic sport with the Netherlands’ India Sardajoe facing Manizah Talash of the Refugee Olympic team in a women’s pre-qualifier battle at 10pm.
At the same time, on the men’s side Japan’s Shigeyuki Nakarai faces the United States’ Victor Montalvo in the first preliminary phase decider.
We’ll have three groups of four with face-offs running all the way through to 12.20am on the men’s side and 12.27am for the women. Then it’s the knockout phase.
China have two women in Liu Qingyi and Zeng Yingying and Qi Xiangyu on the men’s side and both gold medal bouts are scheduled simultaneously at 3.29am.

A year in the making
The misinformation and false rhetoric surrounding Imane Khelif has taken away from just what a spectacular performance she has put on in Paris.
The Algerian has drowned out the noise to reach the gold medal match and is just one fight away from history.
But standing in her way is China’s Yang Liu.
The two had been set to fight in the final of the 2023 IBA World Championships final before Khelif’s disqualification, which is at the root of the gender row issues.
