Recap by phillip woo

Happy Yeah Yeah settled three back and on the fence, kept to the rails upon straightening and wore them down 50m out for the win off a light weight in his course debut. Super Plus was posted three deep near the speed, rallied four wide upon straightening and kept up a good gallop to edge out Vintage Hussler for second. Favourite Vintage Hussler was caught in an early tussle for the lead while holding the fence with Hinyuen Paladin, straightened a length on top and grudgingly gave way late. Supreme Taiji enjoyed the box-seat run, hit the top of the straight three deep and kept plugging away late to fill the frame without looking a place chance. He was in need of the outing. Young Turbo was cast three deep in midfield, rounded the final bend six wide and kept on reasonably well late. He too will come on for the run. Green Zone was settled behind midfield and two deep with cover, hit the final bend widest out and made some ground late without threatening in his course debut. He's worth keeping safe when stepping up to the 1,200m over this track. Flashing Guy was rated in midfield and only held his ground in the run to the line. He wasn't up to the grade. Impeccable travelled three back and one off the fence, straightened five wide and found nothing with every conceivable chance under the whip.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (016) - CHUNG HOM KOK HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000 Meters Just prior to the start being effected, FLASHING GUY became fractious and as the gates opened began awkwardly and consequently lost ground.

CLASSIC AWARDS was slow to begin.

CREATIVE UNION began awkwardly, resulting in B Doyle, its rider, losing the use of his right stirrup iron for some distance.

After being momentarily crowded for room inside SUPER PLUS approaching the 800 Metres, IMPECCABLE got its head up, shifted in and was then momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of VINTAGE HUSSLER.

Making the turn after the 600 Metres, SUPREME TAIJI got its head on the side and shifted out towards the heels of HINYUEN PALADIN.

Near the 100 Metres, VINTAGE HUSSLER shifted out and brushed SUPREME TAIJI.

Throughout the race, SUPER PLUS travelled wide and without cover.

After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that HINYUEN PALADIN had sustained a mild abrasion to the right hind cannon and had lost its left hind plate.

A veterinary inspection of IMPECCABLE after the race did not show any significant findings.

VINTAGE HUSSLER, HAPPY YEAH YEAH and SUPER PLUS were sent for sampling.
