Recap by phillip woo

Flying Unicorn sat outside the leader Well Fit, swept to the lead two deep at the 250m and drew clear as expected as the raging favourite. Smiling Watch enjoyed the run of the race in third, shifted into the clear three deep at the 250m and stayed on well for second without threatening the winner. Tang Palace made his run fifth and one-off the fence after copping a squeeze at the start, hit the straight four wide and worked his way into a placing at the 100m. Plunged late, Well Fit set steady fractions on the speed, led by nearly two lengths for the most part and was struggling inside the 150m. A-Spirit made his run near the back after a slow break, rounded the final bend widest out and passed only beaten runners. Titanium Alloy travelled fourth and one off, cornered in three wide and faded out of contention at the 200m.

Racing Incident Report

Race One: (073) - SHRIKE HANDICAP - Class 4 (Restricted) - 1200 Meters TITANIUM ALLOY was difficult to load.

Before being allowed to race again, TITANIUM ALLOY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

TANG PALACE was slow to begin.

Shortly after the start, A-SPIRIT, which was leaning on the outside of its stall, got its head up when being taken across behind runners.

After the 700 Metres and again after the 600 Metres, SMILING WATCH momentarily raced tight inside FLYING UNICORN (D Whyte).

D Whyte was advised to ensure that his fellow riders are afforded comfortable racing room.

WELL FIT hung out in the middle stages and rounding the Home Turn.

FLYING UNICORN and SMILING WATCH were sent for sampling.
