Recap by phillip woo

Jacobee enjoyed a soft run behind the leaders in third, worked to a narrow lead three deep at the 200m from Familists and eventually shook that one off 80m out for the win with some late support. He has never missed the board in four 1,800m runs. Plunged late, Familists led before handing up to Super Pistachio, reclaimed the lead 300m out and couldn't fend off Jacobee in a spirited effort for second, despite the step up in grade and trip. Super Pistachio didn't set much of a pace when assuming the lead 1,200m, straightened narrowly in front and gave way late. He was in need of the run and will prove harder to gun down next time out over this sort of trip or longer. Sapelli bided his time third from the rear and ran on well to edge out Super Satin for fourth. Super Satin made his run behind midfield, swung the final bend with two wider out and finished off well before peaking just inside the 100m. Favourite Destined For Glory travelled midfield on the rails, hit the straight four wide and kept on one-paced with the rise in weight. Fat Choy Oohlala made his run second from the rear, hit the straight with only Let Me Handle It wider out and never clicked off a big weight. Let Me Handle It made his run at the rear and never fired.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (098) - THE SA SA LADIES' PURSE (HANDICAP) - Hong Kong Group Three - 1800 Meters From the outside barrier, LET ME HANDLE IT was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of LET ME HANDLE IT, B Prebble stated that whilst the tempo of the race was not suited to backmarkers, nonetheless LET ME HANDLE IT was disappointing in that after initially improving into the race well in the early part of the Straight, the horse weakened noticeably on its run over the final 150 Metres.

A veterinary inspection of LET ME HANDLE IT after the race did not show any significant findings.

DESTINED FOR GLORY, JACOBEEE and FAMILISTS were sent for sampling.
