Recap by phillip woo

Easy Gold was rated a handy sixth and to the outside of Humongus, quickened to the front five wide at the 200m, established a length advantage at the 100m and kept on gamely to remain unbeaten in three runs with the switch to Sha Tin. Early favourite Humongus travelled a handy fifth ahead of midfield and one-off the fence, was held up for a run four deep upon straightening, ducked inside at the 150m, shifted off Easy Gold at the 50m and ran on a luckless second. Winning Mascot pressed forward out deep behind slow early fractions to lead 1,100m out, straightened a length on top and kept on well for a placing. Divine Kid settled four back and just off the rails, swung the final bend five wide and ran on well to fill the frame. Able Dragon travelled worse than midfield and two deep to the outside of Divine Kid, rounded the final bend six wide and made a steady bid to finish just behind Divine Kid. Amazing Venture made his run third from the rear, pushed to the centre of the track for a clear run at the 200m and got going nicely late. Fancied late to start favourite, Zezao made his run second from the rear after bombing the start, cornered in widest out and was finishing off nicely. He has got the ability to win at this level, but does too many things wrong.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (140) - YUN PING HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1600 Meters As the start was effected, ZEZAO reared and as a result lost a considerable amount of ground.

Before being allowed to race again, ZEZAO will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial.

JUST GOOD and EASY GOLD made heavy contact at the start.

Near the 1400 Metres, EASY GOLD was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GRAND GENERAL.

At the 400 Metres, CLASSA was checked when crowded for room inside WINNING STRATEGY which, after initially being taken in by HUMONGUS, was shifted ground when held up behind GRAND GENERAL, then got its head on the side and shifted in away from that horse.

In the circumstances, the Stewards believed there was no rider error associated with this incident and therefore no further action was taken.

After this, HUMONGUS was not able to obtain clear running until near the 300 Metres.

Approaching the 200 Metres, DIVINE KID got its head on the side and shifted in.

Passing the 50 Metres, HUMONGUS shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of EASY GOLD.

Close to the finishing line, DIVINE KID shifted out and brushed ABLE DRAGON.

Throughout the race, GRAND GENERAL travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of CLASSA after the race did not show any significant findings.

EASY GOLD and HUMONGUS were sent for sampling.
