Recap by phillip woo

Well-prepped for his debut, Classic Jewellery dropped anchor after easily making the lead, was headed briefly by the short-priced favourite Supreme Genki entering the final bend, straightened back on top and cruised home a convincing winner. He'll be heading higher. Supreme Genki travelled keenly in midfield and two deep with cover behind the moderate pace, pulled out and circled the field at the 600m to poke his head narrowly in front and couldn't stay in touch with the winner under a hustling ride. Full Value enjoyed the box-seat run and kept up a game run along the inside to edge out Smiling Watch for second by a nose. Smiling Watch was effectively one-out, one-back, straightened four deep and kept on one-paced with the step up in trip. Cai Bao In made his run second from the rear and two deep after a sluggish break, straightened five wide and was making some ground in a nice debut performance. Five Stars Hotel kept on one-paced without looking a threat.
