Recap by phillip woo

Serendipity enjoyed the dream run in fourth along the fence from gate one, cornered in three deep and quickened well to down Sunshine Kid in the shadows of the post for the win. Sunshine Kid showed good speed to lead, before handing up to Superior Warrior at the 800m, reclaimed the lead 250m out and found one better in deep stretch. Common Goal settled behind midfield and on the rails, switched with two wider out upon straightening and was finishing up willingly to take third with money coming on late. Superior Warrior pressed to the lead at the 800m, straightened a length on top and was tiring late while holding on for a dead-heat fourth with Star Of Fame, who settled in midfield and on the rails and made some progress late without threatening. Danewin Tiger settled third and one off the fence, rallied five wide upon straightening and kept on evenly. Breeze Of Luck was hard ridden after a slow break to hold a position third from the rear and along the paint, straightened one off the fence and only held his ground in the straight drive. Fortune Together was taken back to last from a wide gate and was making progress passed beaten runners late.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (437) - TSOI TAK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200 Meters BREEZE OF LUCK was slow to begin.

DIAMOND RAINBOW (T Clark) was crowded for room at the start between DANEWIN TIGER and SUNSHINE KID which shifted in.

In this incident, T Clark momentarily lost the use of his left stirrup iron.

DIAMOND RAINBOW then shifted in and bumped DANEWIN TIGER.

From wide barriers, FORTUNE TOGETHER and ETERNAL FAME were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

Near the 900 Metres, STAR OF FAME got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SERENDIPITY.

Passing the 750 Metres, DANEWIN TIGER was taken in to a three wide position without cover when SUNSHINE KID shifted out from behind SUPERIOR WARRIOR.

After this, DANEWIN TIGER travelled wide and without cover.

Approaching the 400 Metres, DIAMOND RAINBOW raced tight between DANEWIN TIGER and SERENDIPITY.

Near the 150 Metres, SUPERIOR WARRIOR momentarily raced tight inside SUNSHINE KID which shifted in marginally.

Over the concluding stages, BREEZE OF LUCK was steadied when unable to improve between SUPERIOR WARRIOR and STAR OF FAME.

After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on SUNSHINE KID at the request of Trainer C W Chang.

The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, SUNSHINE KID will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

BREEZE OF LUCK, SERENDIPITY and SUNSHINE KID were sent for sampling.
