Recap by phillip woo

Favourite The Peak slotted in nicely from gate 14 in fourth and one off the fence, rallied four wide upon straightening, swept to the front at the 200m and drew clear to remain unbeaten in two starts off a big weight. He remains one to follow. Bear Express settled midfield and on the fence, cornered in three deep, shifted out sharply at the 250m and ran on well for second. He's still learning and won't be far off a win. Well-punted Papas settled midfield and two deep, shifted out abruptly with three wider out at the 350m and finished up nicely for a placing. Real General made his run second from the rear, cornered with one wider out and was making good progress. He won't be far off win. Kidconi settled second from the rear, shifted five wide upon straightening and was running on late without threatening. Mega Champion settled behind midfield, cornered in three deep and run peaked soon after getting to third at the 100m. Gold Edition tracked the leader What A Heart one off the fence, straightened three deep and was coming back to the field over the final 100m. What A Heart ensured an honest pace, straightened a length on top and was stopping 150m out.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (445) - CHANGI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200 Meters BEAR ELITE began awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, HAIR BEAUTY was steadied when crowded for room between KIDCONI and BEAR EXPRESS which shifted in.

Near the 700 Metres, POTENTIAL was steadied away from the heels of PAPAS which itself was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BEAR ELITE.

At the entrance to the Straight, BEAR ELITE was momentarily crowded for room between STALLION SUPREME and BEAR EXPRESS which shifted out.

PAPAS, which was following, was shifted away from the heels of BEAR ELITE and in doing so shifted out and bumped POTENTIAL.

Near the 250 Metres, STALLION SUPREME became unbalanced after being bumped by BEAR ELITE which in turn was bumped by KIDCONI which shifted out when awkwardly placed outside the heels of MEGA CHAMPION which got its head on the side and shifted ground.

In the Straight, BEAR EXPRESS hung out and proved difficult to ride.

Throughout the race, STALLION SUPREME travelled wide and without cover.

The performance of TOP POWER, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, TOP POWER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that BEAR ELITE had sustained a mild wound to the back of its right front knee.

A veterinary inspection of GOLD EDITION after the race did not show any significant findings.

THE PEAK and BEAR EXPRESS were sent for sampling.
