Recap by phillip woo

Juggernaut was handily ridden in fifth and between runners, shifted into the centre of the course with three wider out upon straightening and got up in the final stride for the win. Billion stalked the leader What A Heart directly to his outside, cornered in four deep, worked to the lead while laying out at the 200m and was pipped on the line. Yuan's Fortune made his run second from the rear, cornered in five wide with a ton of work ahead and finished up nicely to edge Our Dynasty in a photo for third. Firming late to jump equal-favourite, Our Dynasty switched off the heels of Juggernaut with two wider out at the 300m and finished off well. He appears to be on a winnable mark now. Lucky Chevalier made his run in midfield and three deep with cover from a wide gate, swung the final bend with one wider out and was making a steady bid. He has been knocking on the door and looks a danger, if drawing a proper gate. Magnanimous settled behind midfield and three deep with cover, made some ground before appearing to flatten out inside the final 100m. Co-favourite Happy Score made only a mild late bid.

Racing Incident Report

Race Five: (540) - WANGFUJING HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650 Meters YUANS FORTUNE was slow to begin.

Passing the winning post on the first occasion, HAPPY SCORE became unbalanced when racing inside NOBLE SAIL which itself was awkwardly placed inside the heels of MAGNANIMOUS.

In the Straight, OUR DYNASTY raced with its head on the side and lay in.

The performance of NOBLE SAIL, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, NOBLE SAIL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Throughout the race, CHANCELLOR travelled wide and without cover and prior to the Home Turn commenced to give ground.

After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on WHAT A HEART at the request of Trainer C S Shum.

The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, WHAT A HEART will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of CHANCELLOR and NOBLE SAIL after the race did not show any significant findings.

OUR DYNASTY, JUGGERNAUT and BILLION were sent for sampling.
