Recap by phillip woo

Firming favourite Victory Mascot was patiently ridden worse than midfield and on the rails, shifted four deep soon after straightening and quickened brilliantly to get up in the final 20m for a seventh career win and third over this course-and-distance with a return to blinkers. Connoisseur's Pick saved ground in fifth and along the rails, stayed to the inside upon straightening, hit the lead 100m out and found one too good in the end with a step up in trip and key riding change to Douglas Whyte. Industrial Legend was narrowly on top at the 150m and kept on well for third. Glory Of India eventually got going late to get up a distant fourth. Solar Wonder jumped well before settling in the box-seat at the 1,600m behind Healthy Manner, hit the front three deep at the 250m and was stopping 100m out. Telecom Gogo made his run fourth from the rear and along the inside, rounded the final bend with one wider out and made some ground without menacing. Healthy Manner was posted deep around midfield soon after the break, rushed forward to lead at the 1,600m, cornered in a length on top and was giving way passing the 200m. Best-backed late, Kensworth Kid was travelling erratically in the run in fourth and one off the fence, was under the pump at the 600m and gone at the 300m. He's a better Sha Tin prospect.
