Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Little Bridge sat a distant second in the run after jumping quickest, straightened three deep and quickened nicely to take control 50m out for an easy win. Best-backed late, Leading City was given an uncontested lead, was still fourth lengths clear at the 200m and kept on gamely for second. Captain Sweet settled third and one off the fence outside Rich Unicorn, hit the straight with two wider out and made a steady late bid to just snare third. Fair Trade made his run in fifth and one off the fence, swung the final bend widest out and came up a stride short of placing in an encouraging run off a lengthy injury break over an unsuitable trip. Cerise Cherry made his run second from the rear after a sluggish break, straightened three deep and kept on evenly. Able Speed made his run at the rear and was never a factor in his first run back from a bleeding attack following a trial in January. Rich Unicorn was struggling at the 200m in his first outing for his new trainer Paul O'Sullivan.
