Recap by phillip woo

Elegance Klammer was patiently ridden second from the rear and two deep, rounded the final bend with one wider out and let down soundly to get up in the final 20m for the win. He's taken time to acclimatise but has come right for a second success from his past four outings. Withinmyheart travelled fourth from the rear and two deep, pushed into the clear with two wider out at the head of the straight and ran on willingly to snatch runner-up from Happy Seven in deep stretch. Happy Seven sat second in the run behind the swift early pace of Magnumous, assumed the lead entering the straight and went down fighting at long odds. Absolute Fantasy travelled midfield and two deep, rounded the final bend six wide and stayed on all right to fill the frame a distant fourth just ahead of Noble Deluxe with a ton of market support before the jump. Noble Deluxe settled behind midfield and on the rails, worked to second one off at the 150m and was swamped in the final 50m. Nordic Star peeled deepest out upon straightening and ran on passed beaten runners. Well-punted late to jump favourite, Snitzel Kid enjoyed the box-seat run, cornered in four deep and whacked on one-paced. He's possibly on his mark. Early favourite Enthusing found little when asked for a response over the final 200m after a hard run. Magnumous went a good clip and was stopping badly at the 200m.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (587) - THE JAPAN RACING ASSOCIATION TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1650 Meters SNITZEL KID and JIMSON THE BEST made heavy contact at the start.

NOBLE DELUXE shifted out at the start and bumped ENTHUSING.

LEOS PRIDE was slow to begin.

From the outside barrier, NORDIC STAR was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

Near the 1300 Metres, NOBLE DELUXE raced tight inside ABSOLUTE FANTASY which itself was taken in slightly by ENTHUSING.

After the 1200 Metres, ENTHUSING was left racing wide and without cover.

Approaching the 800 Metres, JIMSON THE BEST proved very difficult to settle and shifted out after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of HAPPY SEVEN.

B Prebble (ELEGANCE KLAMMER) was warned against the practice of raising his whip arm above shoulder height.

After the race, T Clark said that SNITZEL KID travelled satisfactorily behind the lead, however, came under pressure near the 400 Metres and, despite being ridden along, finished off the race only one-paced.

He did say that whilst he had not previously ridden SNITZEL KID in a race, in his opinion, the horse raced flat tonight.

A veterinary inspection of SNITZEL KID after the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of ENTHUSING after the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horses trachea.
