Recap by phillip woo

Drifting favourite Hei Hei Posh eventually settled a handy fourth and one off the fence, was under the bat three deep approaching the final bend, straightened five wide and took control 150m out for the win with a step up in grade and trip after putting the writing on the wall last month in Class Five. Compact Yarn dictated the running on the lead while pestered on his outside by Telecom Supremo, broke a length clear at the 300m and found one too good in the dash to the line. Goldmen Y Y settled behind midfield and on the rails, stayed to the inside upon straightening, moved to third at the 100m and held off the late surge of Glory Of India for third. Glory Of India bided his time at the rear, swung the final bend widest out and was doing his best work late for fourth. Ho Wongchoy enjoyed the box-seat run, straightened three deep and kept on evenly with every chance. Telecom Supremo travelled without cover outside the leader, eye-balled him for the front under pressure at the 600m, straightened three deep and gave way 150m out. Specked late, Secretary Of State made his run second from the rear from a wide gate, straightened two deep and made some ground late without menacing in an improved effort on his past form.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (048) - TAI SHUE WAN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1800 Meters GLORY OF INDIA was slow to begin.

From wide barriers, SECRETARY OF STATE and INDUSTRIAL LEGEND were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

Shortly after the start, HEI HEI POSH and TELECOM SUPREMO bumped.

Near the 1600 Metres, SECRETARY OF STATE was inconvenienced when racing tight inside INDUSTRIAL LEGEND which itself was racing tight inside EASY GOLD after improving inside that horse.

Approaching the 1200 Metres, INDUSTRIAL LEGEND raced tight between EASY GOLD and GOLDMEN Y Y which shifted out after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of HAPPY SCORE which itself was proving difficult to settle and being steadied away from the heels of HO WONGCHOY.

In this incident, GOLDMEN Y Y struck the heels of HAPPY SCORE and blundered.

GLORY OF INDIA, which was following, was hampered in consequence.

SECRETARY OF STATE was held up for clear running rounding the Home Turn.

In the early part of the Straight, GLORY OF INDIA got its head on the side and hung in.

Near the 50 Metres, GOLDMEN Y Y got its head on the side, shifted out and inconvenienced TELECOM SUPREMO.

Throughout the race, EASY GOLD travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.

A veterinary inspection of EASY GOLD and INDUSTRIAL LEGEND after the race did not show any significant findings.

The performances of EASY GOLD and INDUSTRIAL LEGEND, both of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, EASY GOLD and INDUSTRIAL LEGEND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

HEI HEI POSH and COMPACT YARN were sent for sampling.
